If there was one account that if I was asked who I had the most respect for on Steem, It would be @fulltimegeek.
Whilst many suffered The Haejin Effect, he ignored the bollocks behind the 'its your own stake, shove it all up your own arse if you wish' mentality and continued in ways he saw fit to counter greed, and share what he has.
Currently, I have 12000 Steem Power issued to my account, for free, which is payed forward to around 250 accounts each week.
I, and many others, received wallet gifts from this guy, without any prompt, just as a token of his appreciation.
His #fulltimebots currently roam the blockchain, voting content creators and people he considers to be putting their best foot forward.
@fulltimegeek is a man of the community, a developer, and has Steem close to his heart.

Mana Time
Over the past 24 hours or so, I've received more than a few messages from worried account holders. The summary of these messages is that there is fear that the new Resource Credits implementation will have a severe impact on engagement, particularly for small account holders. This is the situation for an account with 200 Steem Power:
As things stand, this account is unlikely to hit top engager of the week. But at the same time, @spammyjoebloggs isn't going to be able to up-vote his own comments 50 times a day either.
Concerned Red Fish:
I'm not even worried about the league, I've just been using it for fun and stress relief ...I understand, keeping spam down, and quality, etc. but most of the rest of the world does not ...I'm more worried about Steemit in general, then everyone on every board etc. I see this as pulling the crush the little guy card. Sorry to bug you, you are about the only witness I really interacted with other than @themarkymark. Thanks.

I agree with the little guys feeling the pinch the most. The issue of abuse, although widely broadcast, isn't taken seriously by many as they do not see what the spam squad and people with eyes on the chain do. We have been taken to the cleaners both SP and bandwidth wise by abusive accounts for a while now, and the hope is that this will counter that somewhat.
It will be tough to start from 0 with nothing to invest, but not impossible. What new members wont be able to do is dust vote all day for curation, and spam meaningless comments all over the place. Finding a balance with regards to Resource Credits / mana was always going to be tough, but I'm going to reserve judgement for a little while, and suspect that if there are clear signs that what the 'real' people have in place to interact is not enough, adjustments will be made.
This has not been a perfect roll-out, even Steemit Inc. have admitted to that. And I hear talk that it's not just the smaller accounts who have issue.

I learned of fulltimegeek from you back during the days of #stewardsofgondor. It was stewards such as you and Lyndsay that showed support to us small fishes, and since FTG delegated all his SP to the stewards, he was also to thank. He is now showing direct support to many of us with his fulltimebots (which I greatly appreciate!).
Additionally, he took action against certain individuals that cyberbullied others on this platform. He has my fullest support, and I hope @freedom would stop being a passive investor this one instance and come through to show his witness support.
Thanks for the kind words @beeyou, I'm glad that you and others of similar joining dates and community are still here, showing the early support was useful, and in the right place.
FTG is going to need support of every active minnow, dolphin, and orca if he is to reach the place he deserves. I suspect much of his witness earnings will be distributed in the same ways as his stake this past year. Is this a worry for the greedy ones? I think so.
It's a long shot, but I sent a memo to @pumpkin to show his support to FTG and steemcommunity. Advised him/her to buy Steem Monsters cards too. :)

I too share the concern for smaller accounts as I know that comments tend to be a more convenient way to get votes and some rewards; it certainly was for me starting. However, not all small accounts can go out and invest to get the bandwidth and that could truly disengage many whichbis counterproductive for the ecosystem especially considering the amount of DApps continuing to be deployed here. However, I agree that we should give it some time to figure out the path to adapting to this new economy. If it becomes detrimental to the system, changes can be suggested. That is why we need more witnesses with the vision of @fulltimegeek to be the voice of that change.
Yeah it's just too early to take a side I think, and the rules of the game can change with a patch overnight.

Being one of the tiny fish myself I feel the impact when things are out of whack.
Hopefully we can all go back to engaging, growing, and supporting our communities in time.

Need to check on the list of the proxy I use then, I have read so many good things about ftg lately. Maybe I didn't get the direct impact of his good deeds so far but at least he supports you and the community.. so, would change the proxy if needed.
