Fuck It, Before It Fucks You #86 (We are tired of your abuse)

Hello all you surfers on this series of tubes we call the interwebs. I always wondered why they call it “surfing” the internet. There’s not really any other surfing lingo associated with the internet that I’m aware of. Everything is all webs and nets and sites and pages. You never hear surfers saying “We’re gonna hit these pages tomorrow! It’s gonna be intense!” It’s not like a surfer wipes out and everyone watching is like “Ooooh! 404 Error dude!” I don’t know. People are weird. All I can do is write about it. So that’s what I’ll do.

So I just watched another lesbian comedy a little while ago. Those are fun. They’re funny and dramatic and feature lesbian sex so what’s not to like? Apparently this one, The Feels, was done improvisationally. I guess they just give the actors the plot and they just run with it. Which explains why the conversations seem more realistic, and the whole plot is just kind of random and chaotic but everything just kid of comes together in the end.
Of course, I’ve still been thinking a lot about the movie I wrote about last week, School Daze, because I feel it’s such a critical examination of how fraternities are a lot like cuts. I mean, sororities are too, I’m not letting them off the hood completely. But it seems to be the fraternities that do all the creepy rapey shit. In either case, there’s heavy peer pressure that makes people fairly open to suggestion, and it’s magnified by the fact that most of these people are kids away from their home and family and friends for the first time in their lives, so they’re desperate to belong somewhere, and in some cases that can make it easy for unscrupulous people to convince them to do despicable things. Hmm, I suppose that would apply to the military too, wouldn’t it? In any case, that’s why as much as I believe in collectivism and solidarity, it is crucial to recognize the importance of individuality. Sometimes a collective moses in the wrong direction, and it’s up to an individual to stand up and say “Hey guys we’re going the wrong way!” And that’s scary, people don’t want to hear it. Sometimes people even get killed for it. In fact, it’s so rare because for about the lat 10,000 years, the people who didn’t go along with the program were the most likely to be killed by the people in charge.. So what we’ve ended up with is a world full of mostly obedient sheep, looking for a shepherd to show them where to go. .
So, for about the last two years I’ve been watching motivational videos on youtube while I eat breakfast. They’re usually about things I don’t care much about, like sports or business or whatever, but they all kind of have the same overall theme, which is that it’s important to have something to live for. As they say, if you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.
So I don’t know if I’ve ever confessed this on my blog, but my name is Joe. And as a person named Joe, I’m starting a campaign to demand that Joe Biden change his first name. I think if the Democratic party is going to keep forcing shitty candidates on the American “left”, we should at least get to decide what to call them. I officially propose that the Democratic presidential campaign be “Lying dog faced pony soldier 2020! That’s what I’m living for at the moment, so now go out and find something you want to live for. Bring your whole authentic self, accept that you won’t be accepted and resolve to not five a fuck.. If people don’t like you, all you can say is fuck it, before it fucks you.
