Fuck It, Before It Fuck's You #76 (We're on our own again)

What up, what up? It’s another Friday night and time for me to write some shit. I was a little more disciplined this week and actually have something semi prepared, but as always I’m really just pushing buttons until I figure shit out, because that’s all life really is. So let’s do this.

Decided to experiment with the cover photo placement.

I wanted to do a bit of a thought experiment tonight. Just close your eyes and try to remember the time before…. Actually don’t close your eyes, because you have to keep reading. Shit. I hope you didn’t close your eyes already. But if you didn’t, or if you did and then realized there was still more to read, then don’t actually close your eyes. But just try to remember the simpler days when you had never heard of coronavirus or COVID 19. Probably February or some shit. When things still sucked, but in a different way. Back when our biggest worry was World War III. And then imagine that President Donald Trump made the announcement that a major pandemic was on the horizon, and strict measures would have to be taken to stop it, including stay at home orders, shutdowns of all non-essential businesses, limits on the size of public gatherings, and so forth. I just wonder how the American “Left”(™) would have reacted at the time. I just can’t quite picture them rallying behind him on it. And yet, that’s exactly what they’re mad at him now for not doing. Which is fucked up because for the last four years they’ve been constantly telling us that he is Literally Hitler and a Russian spy. Why do you want President Literally Hitler the Russian spy to be the one to put the country on lockdown? Is that why you keep giving him bigger military budgets, unlimited war powers and unlimited surveillance powers? Is that why you suspended Habeus Corpus way back in 2012? Seems to me like the Democrats want America to be a dictatorship just as much as the Republicans do. It just works better for them if a Republican is the Dictator. Then they can sit back and be the controlled opposition.
But anyway, in this reality it wasn’t Trump who called for the country to be locked down. That’s why it’s taken this long for the riots to start. Kinda sad really. But there is some good news. A police officer was actually charged for murdering a black man! All it took was burning down a police station, which I’m not morally opposed to for the record. And I’m honestly not shedding a tear for Auto Zone either. I’m pretty sure they’ll both be fine. I didn’t really get it when the Ferguson rioters burned down the CVS way back when. Then later on it occurred to me that that CVS probably put a local black owned pharmacy out of business and probably a bunch of other places too. Corporations like to pretend they’re providing economic opportunity for people when they’re actually destroying it. No working class person should feel sorry for Target. And am I the only one who only sees cops wearing masks when they’re tear gassing people? What’s up with that? I feel like I see more of them out these days and when I do they’re never wearing facemasks and they’re all up in each other's COVID zone. Seems weird. Well maybe not that weird Not to me anyway.. Not anymore at least.
But I’ll throw in my usual disclaimer and say don’t listen to me. I don’t really know what the fuck’s going on. Like I said before I’m just pushing buttons until I figure shit out, just like everyone else. So fuck it. Before it fucks you.
