DATE FRUIT
Do you know this fruit is actually called the date fruit? I bet you didn't know it's a rich source of protein, devoid of cholesterol with less fattening agent. It is believed to have originated in irag. Although in present times, families all over the world have come to know about the date fruit and its benefit. The date palm requires a soil that has high water holding capacity for its growth, there are seperate male and female parts and its seeds are naturally wind pollinated. . FRUIT USES AND HEALTH BENEFITS. 1. The date fruit is eaten dry or soft out of hand. 2. A thick syrup is made from the ripe date and is used in coating leather bags and pipes to prevent leaking. 3. It can be processed as smoothie which helps in weight loss. 4. The date fruit is a rich source of about 80% sugar. 5. It is also a good source of various vitamins which helps in skin care, it also contains calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium and zinc. 6. It aids digestion, strengthens the nervous system, improves the skin and surprisingly, it helps fix hangovers. As the saying goes, an apple a day keeps you away from your doctor but trust me, a cup of date smoothie a day or a date fruit eaten in its raw form will certainly keep you away from your doctor.
