Kedondong is a fruit crop that belongs to the mango-manggaan tribe. The fruit of kedondong is known by many other names in various regions, including kedondong (Indonesia), plum June (Bermuda and Jamaica), juplon (Costarica), golden apples (Barbados and Guyana), hevi (Philippines), mokah (Cambodia), gway ( Myanmar), makak farang (Thailand) and many more varieties of fruit names kedondong in countries around the world.
The fruits come from Melanesia and Polynesia in the South Pacific, but today the fruit of kedondong has grown in various countries in the world, such as Sri Lanka, India, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Zanzibar, Gabon, and Indonesia. The fruit of kedondong can be eaten directly when in fresh condition, or often also processed into various dishes, such as a candied kedondong. But recently the fruit is often processed kedondong into beverages that have many benefits.
