Today's thoughts on friendship
Sometimes it's not easy to nurture and hold on to superficial and complicated friendships. You might find yourself to let go of some old ones to make place for new ones or just for yourself.
People change over the years. We change! Our priorities are shifting.
There comes a time when you know that too many compromises don't work anymore.
In older age, your expectations are so much higher because you know well that time is running out and it doesn't make sense to surround yourself with people who misjudge you, cannot understand nor accept you for who you are.
There is no reason to hold on.
I am thankful for my soulmates and loyal ones and cherish them more than ever.
I wish all others a wonderful life! You as well as me, deserve to be cared for and loved!
Hello "Old " & New Steemians, my so called incredibly,joyful, future and present online friends, I value more than I could ever imagine that I would.
I come from a generation where you had to make friends in real life only, to build up a deep connection and for many years since the internet is present, I hesitated to trust in online relations but steemit obviously changed my view drastically.
Friendster was first, Space followed and what happened after Facebook, we all know but I was still suspicious most of the time.
Something feels very different with YOU "Steemit People" and the Cryptoworld, I am fascinated with, compared to all those other social networks. I always felt more home in the "Underground". Mainstream stuff was never my kind of taste.
I trust most Steemians because I read their honest stories about their lives, art and awesome projects and @connecteconomy's previous soulful article " The Stories I Know About You Humans of Steemit Now", proved me even more that we are all lovable "HUMANS".
It feels good to be a part of this community, the "Soulchain" and I sincerly do hope that it will last for many years to come.
I enjoy voting for your contributions, mostly manually and wish I would not drain my voting power that fast.

I am so happy to know all of you, especially the ones I met at both @steemfest's in Amsterdam and Lisbon. I missed the ones who could not make it this year but what joy to meet some of you again. Slowly but surly Steemit will grow and new deepened friendships and their respectful projects develop.
I am amazed every day about your comments. My last post made it up to 123! Wow!

Its really sad that we break so many friendships in our life journey, steemit atm is attracting a good crowd but its slowly breaking @mammasitta

Yes friendship, when you really need one, the ones not there, are not. Mine and her "friends" were not there for my wife, when I needed to be away for 10 days in the hospital. It is during times like that, when you know who is friends are and who is not. A good person helped my wife and myself, we did not really know him, he was the guy that re-did our driveway, and he had a snow plow business for the winter. He plowed my driveway while I was gone and after I returned with-out charge. A good person, better than our so called close friends.
The reason people flock to and stay flocked @mammasitta, is because you remind us we are human and keep us grounded in our humanity. This was a very nice post. Thank you.
You are a treasure to all who are fortunate to cross paths with you and be part of your smile. I wish we had enough time at SteemFest to tell life stories to better understand and appreciate each other, and yet I feel I must know some of it by default through seeing the current result. I to come from a time of real friendships and relationships, heck I come from when Penpals and snail mail was the only sort of long term relationships LOL
I do find there is something so special with the Steemit Communityand have found forming more special bonds with people on here than I ever have with any other social platform

I think life is both about moving forward and letting go. There are only few people who will keep hanging on for longer periods of time and these are the ones you should cherish.
I only have about three, four real friends whom I know I can count on no matter what. In shit times, I know who to call. And those are the ones who matter most.
That’s very true and I can count just a tiny few of those but the older I get the more I realize that I am my own best friend and I can have a hell of a great time with myself and some hash brownies ( hahah oh well not that often )
Ofcourse you have to be your own best friend first - however, I love sharing things and experiences so I guess I would be less out-ey on my own.

It's true, sometimes friends who bring destruction for us, when we are a lot of money then there will be many friends who get, there is also a friend who really friend when we fall he who helped us, but the right is the closest family that always support we are either happy or hard. the most important family to keep us in the sick, if friends are still thinking-think first
You speak my mind. I had to learn hard lessons in recent times, loosing more than I ever dreamed of. I did not loose myself though. I saw so well who was next to me "holding my hands, supporting me, accepting my emotional imbalance and who ran away as fast as they could when I spoke up what I would need for a change.
