True friendship symbolize love on earth. A man once said that a man’s life and actions is the reflection of the kind of friends he keeps or the company that he hangs around with. There is this story that I am always reminded of when I see two people enjoying their company under the force of true friendship, such friendship is exemplified as thus;
“I just forgot my blanket”, Grace told her loving husband while she made her bed. And her husband’s reply didn’t add joy to her present predicament “Then sleep without a blanket “ he said with a taunting voice. And to make matters worse, the weather was very cold that night, courtesy of the heavy downpour of natural H2O. After Grace slept that night, Tony, “Grace’s husband”, silently placed his blanket over his wife. I define that as true friendship. It is built on the foundation of love and mutual trust for one another.
The following points defines true friendship:
True friendship is the composition of the longetivity of blissful experience betweenMO friends
No true friendship last in a day without the progressive understanding of the meaning of friendship

WHO IS A FRIEND:
A friend is a person that never judges the odour of a flower by its colour, Someone who will comfort you even when the tears fall endlessly. I am talking about a companion when lonely and a sure presence in time of trouble and need. Someone that understand how you feel even when you have not said anything to him or her and knows the right response to put that grand smile on your face .
QUALITIES OF A GOOD FRIEND:
A GOOD FRIEND SHOWS GENUINE INTEREST IN OTHERS : Having quality time with your friends, listening to whatever the have to say and making them feel important is a good way of being a good friend , find time to play games with them and make sure they are having fun whenever you are around them.
GIVING: The selfless act of providing for someone’s need even when the resources are little , is ra major quality of a good friend. But its more intense when you provide the need of a person without him/her asking. Giving does not end at material things, one can give advice, time, idea, etc.
A GOOD FRIEND IS OPTIMISTIC AT ALL TIMES: Being optimistic sends positive waves to the environment and those within the environment, its easy to make another person happy when you your self are happy despite whatever you are going through.
A GOOD FRIEND IS HONEST: True friendship cannot be built on falsehood, honesty is one of the quality that defines the duration of a relationship. George Washington offered some wise words about friends and this is what he said “Be courteous to all, and intimate with few, and let those few be well tried before you give them your trust”.

THE EFFECT OF FRIENDS ON OUR LIFESTYLE
FRIENDS INFLUENCE OUR CHOICES: Humans often behave like the people they associate with, after all “Birds of the same feathers flock together”. So the choices you make are sometimes linked with the type of friends you have. If you have friends that have problems going to church and then your have a decision to make between going to church and clubbing , then I’m certain the club is where you will end up even if your father is the pastor of the church. So when choosing friends, make sure you pick those that will help you to make the right decisions . And it is of an added advantage, if you inscribe the habit of self control in your daily living.
FRIENDS INFLUENCE OUR HEALTH: Its strange but true that friends also have a role to play in your health , things like cholesterol, stress, anxiety, panicking, blood pressure etc. So it is advised to hang around with people that make you happy , so as to enhance the good and normal flow of blood .

True friendship is a by-product of the longetivity of the scenes you and your friend has created positively.
A life without friends is a boring, lonely, and difficult life . On the other hand, a life full of good friends is a long, healthy happy and stress free life.
So make sure you make a friend today and not just a friend, good friend, starting with me.
