Why we call someone a FRIEND ?

Good noon everyone! Let me share to you how your "FRIENDS" added color to individual's life and why we call them friends...

I know that each one of us has a friend to be called, it's either best friends? close friends? or maybe you call it best friends forever.
So, what are friends really are? why we call it friends? whom are they? How they add color to our life?
Let us see how a poet writer will define "friend" through her composed poem.

A Friend Is Someone

A friend is someone
You turn to.
A friend is someone
You confide in.
A friend is someone
Who stands by you.
A friend is someone
Who lifts your spirits.
A friend is someone
who encourages you.
A friend is someone
You treasure always.

Who makes you smile.
A friend is someone
Who brightens your day.

This is how Leah Ross(2009) defined her "Friend".Through this poem of her ,she stated that "A friend is someone you treasure always" Absolutely, A friend is a treasure whom you cannot find someone like him/her.Whom you can express what you want to say.Whom you ca lean on and trust.

So, what exactly friends are? — Try to ask yourself : just whom among your friends are you comfortable sharing your personal problems and experiences with? Just who among your friends genuinely rejoices with you for your achievements and stays by your side during your downfalls? Just who among your friends can you ask favors from and would not hold it against you, would not make you feel like you owe them? Just who among your friends will have the courage to always be honest with you, despite sometimes having to hurt you just for the sake your own good? Just who among your friends can you have heart-to-heart conversations with, feel better and energized afterwards and not worse than what you’re feeling before the conversation.Just who among your friends do not tolerate your wrong doings?And who among them encourage you to never stop trusting God's promises.

True friends would never hold your imperfections, weaknesses, failures, and honest mistakes against you.True friends know limitations, that you have your own privacy, but will respect you anyway.

These for me what true friends are. They may not necessarily be the people you spend most of your time because sometimes, we may have those friends whom we don’t really hang that much with but in our hearts,we felt like you are always with them.Friends are the ones whom we know that will always gladly lend an ear to listen. We know that we don’t have to see or talk to them everyday to know that they’ll always be fine, especially when we need them the most. They are the ones who help you grow as a good person, that leave a positive impact in our lives. But if your real friends are also the people you spend most of your time with, then blessed you are.

That's how "Friends play a big part of our lives and added color to our colorless life...

That's why,to all those who are blessed and found their true friends, treat them the same way as they treat you.Love them as you love yourself.As what Proverbs 17:17 says"A Friend loves at all times."
