Fridays Rock 💎 Number 27

Happy Fridays Rock!
12 pounds of chalk rock!

This rock was found many
years ago in Sulphur creek,
northern California.

It is a traveling rock as
it is now in Alaska.

Small black dots appeared when
I washed it off for some photos.
They seem like old dried lichens.
It also sat in the garden for
a number of years.

Some of the areas look like
petrified wood texture in the
above and below photos.

Little cavities with tiny
crystals here and there.

This rock is very dense
and heavy.

The creek it came from has
lots of pretty rocks to find.
Nice to wade and swim in too.

Up the creek is the geysers
geothermal field.

Size matters.

Somewhat round with
knobs going on.

Thank you so much @phototalent! :-)
I haven't heard of that one before. Cool!
It's a really cool rock, even marks things
just like that store bought chalk! :-)
