The Fresh Five for March 16th! New Steemians you should get to know!
Welcome to The Fresh Five!
Hi, I'm Adam and I'll be introducing new and exciting Steemians to the community. The Fresh Five account was set up by Mike, who'll be working towards creating and administering Fresh Five competitions and contests to help kick start our brand new friends and get them involved in the community.
So, now that you know what it's all about, let's get on with it!
Here's our Fresh Five for the 16th of March!
To kick us off, we have Doug who details his family in VENEZUELA. His intro post is a great read! He goes through his family, including his son, and describes what they all mean to him. He's keen to blog frequently on Steem, so that's exciting for us all.
Welcome to Steem Doug !
Next we have Jas who is a transitioning vegan Batwoman in the Philippines. She's got some great photos of her blog, especially of the clean flowing river near her village. I get the impression that she's a little bit over Aladdin quotes (Princess Jasmin) so we'll try to keep it to a minimum.
Welcome to Steem Jas!
Our Fresh Five middle child is Ryan who was in the middle of the Atjeh and Indonesia conflict. He tells of being surrounded by machine gun fire and his villagers being kidnapped by unknown people. The area has settled down now, but it sounds like an incredibly harrowing 9 years. Thanks for sharing dude!
Welcome to Steem Ryan!
We'd love to introduce Ryu who is a photographer and illustrator from Japan. He mainly works in games and animation, but it's his artwork that really makes him happy. He's a shy guy so please make sure you make him feel welcome.
Welcome to Steem Ryu!
Lastly we have Raveen who is into all the best things in Malaysia. By 'the best things' I mean blockchain, crypto, music, cars and bikes. You know, the best things. He's an extroverted dude and is happy to field any questions you might have about his area of expertise... nice one dude!
Welcome to Steem Raveen!
Please welcome our new friends and offer any support you can. The Steem Blockchain can be an intimidating place, but with good buds it's also super wonderful and amazingly educational.

Hi, Steemians! I'm grateful to be featured here. This inspires me to work harder on my content. I'm happy to become part of the Steemit Community.
Lovely to see you here Jas! Thanks so much for dropping in!
We're very excited to have you on Steem, and if you do have any questions, please let us know.
Wow, the story of Ryan seen so tough... a shame in this century there are still people who use fire guns and like to hurt anothers for their own benefit.
And Welcome to steemit for everyone! Please support new users as we support you guys and upload great thinks, this community is falling in the shitty crypto post and nonoriginal thinks (and sorry for those hard words, but its the reality).
Luis! You've been our best find ever! Thanks for being such a dude!
It is crazy the chaos that happens in the world, that's why things like Steem are so important... other social media really just keeps everyone in their own silos... you friend people just like you, but Steem gets you out and about, reading about other people's lives. It's pretty amazing.
Maybe check out the posts that @curie (curation service) have upvoted... they're pretty much some of the best posts around :

I've seen so many people at this point here and its like I dont wanna be a part of the community because its actually really screw, there are so many people looking for money, and I mean, its okay to do that, but common, they want it easy, no original post, no amazing ideas or stories, there's no dedication, just the same viral things again and again.
But then I find a good user with good and original posts (and believe me, there's a lot out there, it's like a deep gold mine, you just have to search) and I wanna stay and share my opinion with them. I dont want to be one of those good users, I just wanna be "the normal guy that upload simple (but non-viral) things and its part of steemit " but in order to do that I want good posts to read and spare my time.
By the way, thanks for those comments about me, I really appreciate them and I'm gonna check @curie posts. Thanks for the recommendation, hope i find good stuff :D
Hi everyone!
Welcome to Steem! We're super excited to have you here, and it looks like we've got a super interesting bunch here today. If you ever have any questions about Steem, please let us know, we're totally happy to help!
Wow! I am truly honored to be featured here. Thank you @thefreshfive @aussieninja! I am inspired to contribute more in this space and really help develop my network here.
