The Sage's money

He once lived a wise and well-known man in his city, a very wealthy man, he had children and grandchildren. Everyone loved and respected him very much and he took care of his children and did not spare his money to his own.

One day, his wife died, and he was left alone in his house. When the year passed, all his children came to him and spoke with him, who was a rope to launch alone in the big house and he is now alone. Sell your house and your fields, give us the money, and you will live in the home of your eldest son and all your shortage shall be on us and you won't have to worry about anything.

The man agreed, sold everything he had and all his fortunes divided between his children and moved into the house of the eldest son.

But gradually the children and grandchildren stopped visiting until they came. And at the eldest son's house he harassed, he was barely prepared for food, and he was always hungry, his clothes not ibso, and if they did not correct them either. 

And so it was time and the man deteriorated in his condition until he was ashamed to go out on the street, to his old friends who would not see him in his poor state.

One day, the man said to his eldest son, calling the mayor and picking up all your brothers and sisters here, I have something important to give you. When the eldest heard they had to receive something, immediately he collected all his brothers and sisters and invited the mayor.

When everyone gathered in front of him, said the man, I told you that I had sold all my possessions and divided it among you, but I still had one big suitcase full of gold and diamonds.

Since the day of my death is coming, I want to leave you the suitcase and everything in it. The suitcase is buried under the big tree, at the entrance to our city and is locked in two locks only the two keys can open the suitcase.

Here's one key. I give you the mayor and one key to you, my eldest son, after my death, you will both open the suitcase and the mayor will divide you equally with all the property in it.

From that day on, the man's condition improved and returned to be what he was, his sons and daughters cared for all his lack of money, food, silver clothes, all he asked for, and he lived quietly and respectfully.

One day, his day came and he died. The children had a funeral that was not like her and sat on him for seven. After a month, all his sons and daughters went along with the mayor, the tree at the entrance to the city.

Dug and dug until they found the big suitcase, the son opened the first lock, followed by the mayor, when they opened the briefcase, only the head of a donkey and a letter were found there.

And the letter was written in the man's handwriting:  " "Only a donkey gives his life everything he/she has."

Morality:

Give the kids as much as possible. But leave so you don't need them...
