Not everyone (poetry)

Not all those who receive punishment are guilty,
Not everyone who has a defense is innocent.
Not everyone who identified as a brother actually is a brother.
Souls are not united by blood.

Everyone is not a friend who held your hand.
Not all enemies truly detest you.
The risk from an elevated dagger is minimal.
as a deep-seated yearning for retaliation.

Not every person you hug is in love,
Additionally, doing nothing is neutral.
Not everyone is moved by a positive emotion,
whose flattery envelops their ears.

Not everyone conforms,
yet everybody succeeded once.
