the lost credit card

Did I ever tell you about the time I lost my credit card? Yeah I never did because I have never lost a credit card. I would be lost without my hunk of plastic. If I were ever to lose it, I would have no access to my liquid assets, and possibly for a couple of days. I'd be like a junkie on the Sopranos borrowing money from a mobster for sure. Yes, without that little piece of plastic, I would be a blubbering junkie sitting on a wall in a plaza with a bloody thing in my lap, while wondrous events happened just over there a bit. A man on a horse charming everyone but me by playing a flute, and they all go off into a fantasy that will never be written because, hey, the prompt is about a damn credit card

I feel cheated by this prompt. I was heading off into Pied Piper land, a place of a sort I have never once in my writings of any kind been to (not that I haven't tried), and I have to come back and write about a hunk of plastic. Plus now that I have looked up I can see my h and g keys have not been working the entire time and I will have to go fix them all.

Not my favorite freewrite by a long shot, but, as Tony Soprano says, whaddaya gonna do?
