5 Minute Freewrite - Prompt: Stranded on the sofa ...
Joan was a busy woman. She wakes up early and ends up sleeping in front of her computer without even noticing it. She always dreamt of having a time off with her work. But alas, she cannot because she is in demand and highly needed for their work to succeed. Her birthday came and she wanted to at least escape from the stressful yet productive work she has. So, even though it's just a day, she was granted a vacation leave, in honor of her birthday. She was so excited that she forgot to plan where she would go or what she would do. "But who cares", she says in her mind. No work for a day is enough. So the day of her birthday arrived. She ate and drank like she never did before. Until she got stranded on the sofa like whales with a plankton's indigestion. She fell asleep, thankful for being full. "Happy birthday to me", her last whisper before she snoozed to sleep.

I wasn't sure at first if I got the prompt phrase right, but I still pushed on doing this freewrite. It's a good way to be imaginative and exercise my writing skills. :)

I love days like that. The ones where you don't plan and just find somewhere that looks nice and eat and don't worry about anything.
