RE: Day-227-5-minute-freewrite-sunday-prompt-bones
You have mentioned the dice and Vegas which has reminded me of my trip to Las Vegas in mid-1983. I was on a biz trip to America to witness a machine commissioning. My colleague and I took a detour to Las Vegas after the official trip.
I still remember, I hang around with a slot machine ( black-Jack ) and I strike a Royal Flush when the bell rang. "He hit the jackpot", I heard someone say aloud.
I was not sure what was going on but no coin was out from the machine. Then a casino staff came to me and brought me to a counter ( I think ) and show me how much I got for the royal flush. And I heard him saying, "if you play with a quarter, you will be rich". I was playing with the smallest coin I think is called a nickel.
I could not remember how much did I get but that was something strike me as that was the first time I enter a casino and play with slot machine
Anyway, this freewrite prompt ( and a few previously) took me back to my younger days. Keep writing ....
Cheers
