5 MINUTE FREEWRITE - PROMPT: HOME ALONE

Jenna was home alone for the first time in the new house. Peter had gone away to San Diego this morning and wouldn't be back till Wednesday. She spent most of the day unpacking things but now it was getting dark outside and she just wanted to relax. She walked through the house making sure all of the windows and doors were locked tight then she headed toward the bathroom. A bubble bath would feel so good right now she thought. She turned on the faucet in the old claw foot tub and got it at the right temperature. She loved the way these tubs were with two separate handles for hot and cold. It was so much better than their apartment had been with a sway handle. She could never get the temperatures just right. Not here though, this was perfect. She got undressed and slipped into the steamy, soapy water. She was lying with her neck resting on a towel at the back of the tub when she was startled by a scraping at the window that sent a chill down her spine and a gasp from her mouth. She turned to see what was there. "Jesus!", she said out loud, "that tree is coming down as soon as Peter gets home. I almost pooped in my bathwater!"
