RE: A cup in hand and a word in another

aww @maverickinvictus, I can feel your emotions here, and I'm sorry that you have to deal with this.

Here I am left with unresolved feelings and I don't know what to do except drink this coffee and hold your words.

In terms of writing, I love this:

My advice, if you're interested, is don't dwell too long on these things. She obviously didn't feel what you do/did, and you deserve someone who does. I think we also tend to romanticize our past relationships sometimes, and forget what it really was like.

Hope you find a way to get past all of this <3

True Lynn and I have a habit of romanticizing my past relationships especialy my first love. It is remembering them with rose tinted glasses of yesteryear.

Thank you for tyou the kind words Lynn.

You're very welcome @maverickinvictus!

My oldest recently broke up with his girlfriend of five years. One night he phoned me, sobbing, missing her terribly. After sending virtual hugs to him, I told him to take a deep breath and asked him if she ever really pissed him off. He of course said yes. Then I said, "really imagine the time she make you so angry that you felt like you were going to explode." He said ok. Then me: "do you feel better". He burst out laughing and said I get it.

When we're sad, we remember only the good times! ❤️
