How to Make Lavender Sugar Scrub (A FREE recipe!)
As we look forward to the coming romantic-scented soap bars that will be available later this week, I thought it would be fun to give you this FREE GIFT: My recipe for Lavender Sugar Scrub!
It is the perfect choice because you may very well enjoy using your own homemade lavender-scented scrub to smooth and oil your hands, before washing them with a romantic-scented soap.
There are other lovely combinations too: One that I recommend would be the Orange Sugar Scrub to exfoliate and moisturize, with the Rose Soap or Eucalyptus/Lemon Soap to wash off -- your hands will smell so nice!
By the way, an interesting fact about the Eucalyptus / Lemon Soap is that it's exfoliating all by itself! That one will work on your skin even without a sugar scrub, but in a little different way. I think the sugar scrub is more thorough on hands, while the exfoliating soaps are soothing on your body at the end of a hard day (think upper back -- ahhhh...). Nice! http://lathersforlife.com/store/p69/Eucalyptus_and_Lemon_Essential_Oil_Soap.html
So Let's Get That Recipe, Shall We? It's simple -- here it is:
Mix Together:
1/2 cup white sugar
1/2 cup coconut oil (3 oz if you are using a scale)
1/2 teaspoon grapeseed oil
1/8 teaspoon lavender essential oil
As you work with the ingredients, you may prefer an extra teaspoon or so of white sugar -- your decision. This recipe is simple and lovely for your hands to get the smoothing they need now and again! (If you don't have essential oils around, you might have a friend who sells them and would love to give you a free sample to try!)
Again, this recipe is super fun and easy, but if you just would rather have it ready in a neat container, you can purchase Lavender Sugar Scrub in my online shop! http://lathersforlife.com/store/p18/Exfoliating_Essential_Lavender_Sugar_Scrub.html
(Please note that I only ship within the USA at this time, but I hope that the recipe will be a gift to everyone around-the-world! Enjoy!)
Happy Soothing!
