It's better used for distribution
So, how can the model work to leverage the inflation adjustments? Would you prefer that eachs person stake have a vote for how much should be the inflation instead?
I'd prefer we have a better distributed coin. For the same reasons BTC included mining, not for sell pressure but for distribution.
In theory the better the distribution the more people can have a meaningful vote and curate, allowing for a better variety of users and content.
If we just count the mined coins, STEEM has a better distribution than BTC i recon..
But I agree with your second paragraph completely. We need ideas on how to make it happen.
In my view the prob lies around the UI’s, not actually on the monetary incentive of the STEEM mining.
Agreed the UIs are not helping us a lot either.
Have you tried SteemPeak.com though? It is better for sure.
I have... but theres way more room for improvement, content discovery, pre-processing and data analysis, that most UIs don’t yet do.
Competition will force that I guess.
