Help Humanity With My Free Ideas!
I spend a lot of time figuring out ways to solve problems with never really taking action. I think about devices or systems that would benefit people and the environment. Weeks thinking about the same thing, better ways to do things, working out kinks on a prototype i'm never going to build. I decided that the only way i'm going to make a difference is if i share these ideas with the world and maybe it will benefit someone who is better at taking the initiative to make it a real thing. I don't care much to be rich but would rather not worry about finances and just do what i do best... THINK! Below is one of my invention ideas from a few years ago. It is the original campaign for it. I donate it to you the community. Lets save the planet together! Follow me to keep updated on all my original ideas
Bottom Huggers is the solution for the many disadvantages associated with the disposable and reusable diaper industry. This is the most sanitary, economical, and Eco friendly solution that has ever come to market.
Why?
Their are a tremendous amount of problems that revolve around the diaper industry as a whole but mainly disposables. Disposable diaper hold about 95% of the diaper market. Babies average about 8000 diapers before they are potty trained. And infants under the age of 1 pee about 10oz a day and about 1 ounce at a time.
This is where I first saw the problem. I would just change my baby and it was as if he waited until i put the new diaper on that he would give a little tinkle. What do i do? Leave him sit in it for up to two hours like they recommend or change it again instantly because bacteria starts growing after a minute. I change it of course.
This device seeks to hold at least 5 oz of urine in a collection device that keeps the urine away from the skin. This container will be effortlessly emptied in one step and also will not allow any back flow of fluid as to not contaminate my babies privates when changing positions.
As my baby got a little bigger his poops did too. It only took one big one for me to ask myself the question, Why would i want his poop to get everywhere?Ask anyone if they think its a bad combination to mix that around down there. So why do we allow this to happen? My inventions has separate compartment for both front and back waste collection so that there is no cross contamination. The poop collects into a easy dump compartment.
The best part, the waste collections are integrated into the clothing. The pants will be open in the middle with a front and back attachment for quick and easy installation and removal. Never again to fight " Kicking baby syndrome" and have to work all those snaps. The diaper removes from the outside.
I am striving to make at least 80% of the removable waste collection from recycled materials so instead of contributing 9 billion diapers to the landfills each year in America alone, we will be helping the environment by removing waste.
Who am I? A father that works too much and doesn't get to spend enough time with his family. Currently i am a designer and salesperson at a custom stair company. Me and my wife at the moment work opposite schedules to keep our 4 month old baby out of daycare. This is campaign to take control of my own financial standings by developing a product that will not only benefit my family and friends but will hopefully impact the world.
100% of this funding is going into bringing this product alive. I need to hire a 3D artist that can turn this concept into a working 3D model and Finally 3D printed into a final prototype. Along with that i will be producing high quality advertising video. I want to keep donations at a $1 to keep this more as an outreach. The funds i do receive will go towards these goals while i continue to contribute as much as i can toward the difference.
The Impact
Diapers today are not just cotton pads. They are toxin filled poop bandages that kill our environment, raise gas prices and are not economical. Most people don't know that almost all disposable diapers contain polyacrylate absorbents which are little balls that take 500 years to biodegrade. these are the same absorbents that were outlawed in women's tampons in the 80's for causing toxic shock syndrome.
Dioxins are used in processing the cotton. They are highly toxic and can cause reproductive and developmental problems, damage the immune system, interfere with hormones and also cause cancer. Once dioxins enter the body, they last a long time because of their chemical stability and their ability to be absorbed by fat tissue, where they are then stored in the body. Their half-life in the body is estimated to be 7 to 11 years.
One other problem that most people dont think about is all the chemicals that go into your child's regular clothing. Formaldehyde is just one example of a chemical that is not regulated in the united states that has been found in parts up to 20,000 ppm when the CDC recommended safe exposure is under 20ppm. that is why the integrated clothing portion will be made with chemical free organic cotton
Along with dioxins they are now using solvents such and xylene and acetates.
What do diapers, cars and McDonalds cheese have in common? They are all made with petroleum products. It takes about 1 cup of oil to make 1 diaper. It is my theory in this fact that gas prices are correlated with diaper usage. If we could cut diapers out of the equation on oil it would in turn go down in cost.
A lot of people argue that reusable cotton diapers are the way to go. But statistics show that if you tumble dry the washable pads you may actually spend more then if you were to just use disposable diapers. So all the same disadvantages with more cost
