SecretlyTracking you "In The Name Of The Law"

Did you know that the United States Government can use your cell phone to spy on you? We know most people have heard something about it but did you also know that your local law enforcement may be able to get your location without probable cause and no warrant? This is a clear violation to the 4th amendment of the Bill of Rights which states:

” The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.”

It has been reported that a company called Securus Technologies which is primarily known for its prison phone services offers an “extra bonus package”. It offers a geolocation tracking service (virtually unfiltered access to nationwide location tracking to be a little clearer). They obtain location information though data from cellphone providers the same way marketers do and actually advertise the technology as a tool to track murder suspects, missing people and those "at-large". The system does not check to make sure that a warrant or other legal documentation has been acquired but instead makes the user check a box saying that their tracking is legal as shown in this screenshot:

This service can find the whereabouts of almost any cellphone in the country within seconds. A spokesperson for the company has went on record saying:

” Securus is neither a judge nor a district attorney, and the responsibility of ensuring the legal adequacy of supporting documentation lies with our law enforcement customers and their counsel. Securus offers services only to law enforcement and corrections facilities, and not all officials at a given location have access to the system.”

In Mississippi county, Missouri a Grand Jury has alleged that former Missouri sheriff’s deputy Cory Hutcheson used this service at least 11 times WITHOUT legal authority between 2014 and 2017. His alleged targets included a judge and member of the State Highway Patrol. Mr. Hutcheson who was dismissed from his position last year for a separate, unrelated matter is facing 11 counts of alleged forgery against his targets but has pleaded not guilty at the time of this article. Senator Ron Wyden (Democrat of Oregon) took action when learning about this matter. He sent a letter to the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) requesting that they investigate abusive and potentially unlawful practices of wireless carries. In the letter Senator Wyden explained in detail what Securus Technologies has done and compared what the company requires for documentation to “the legal equivalent of a pinky promise”. Senator Wyden did not stop there, he also sent letters major cell phone providers such as AT&T, insisting that they take proactive steps to prevent the unrestricted disclosure and potential abuse of private customers data, including real-time location information. The letter also stated:

” Phone companies have a legal responsibility under the Telecommunications Act to protect consumer data, including call location, and can provide it in response to a legal order or sell it for use with customer consent”

In some states, a warrant is required for any sort of cellphone tracking. In other states, it is needed only if an investigator wants the data in real time. And in others no warrant is needed at all. Phone companies have a legal responsibility under the Telecommunications Act to protect consumer data, including call location, and can provide it in response to a legal order or sell it for use with customer consent. Here is a map that show what each state requires

That's only the tip of the iceberg. Once 5G and the internet of things are established, they will know absolutely EVERYTHING about you. They already know you better than you do yourself. Wrote a post about it a while ago, not sure if you remember...https://steemit.com/conspiracy/@herrleeb/they-know-more-about-you-than-you-do-yourself

I do remember that post. Makes me wonder what they know about me because I have no Facebook for them to look at lol. I can only image what they have came up with. My partner tired to warn everyone we know about Facebook and he told them several times that they are creating a psychological profile from it... NO ONE listen and people really thought he was crazy...I should take that website and show them people and ask "Who's crazy now?" lol.

Facebook is only one player. They also read emails etc. Once we have "smart appliances" they will have data when and how often you use your toaster and how often you drink milk. They will know everything.

I was aware of them reading emails... Google does the same as Facebook! I wonder if people ever stop to think why they would need a smart refrigerator? I read somewhere that most toasters have a transmitter built in to them (and out went the toaster ^^)... I noticed that they have pushed smart TV's, if you can find one that is not smart it will cost you more for a smaller TV. The last time I went shopping they had a big screen (over 50 inches) for under $500 but a little 19 inch that was not smart was almost $400. Lucky for me my partner loves his electronics and can make sure that any smart TV is not able to spy.

Exactly, this is how it works. They push this shit on you. And eventually there will be no other choice than to buy a "smart" appliance. The crap we buy now has a very limited lifespan and is almost impossible to repair. So eventually there will be no way around it. I heard that even radios now must have an internet connection. I wonder why...LOL.
Sometimes I dream of living in a cabin in the woods with no electricity, a nice fireplace and a petroleum lamp. That would be nice...

The "crap" we buy now it useless and breaks if you look at it the wrong way lol (they went and made our appliances snowflakes ^^). What about the electric company giving you light bulbs saying that they are energy efficient. People eat that up and do not stop to really think about that one. The company makes money because you use electric, so why would they want to help you save money on electric? As the old saying goes "if it sounds to good to be true then it probably is". My partner will not use them at all and I understand why... if you really look at them lights it has a transmitter that transmit at 25 hertz.

Living off grid in a cabin would be my idea of wonderful... I see the beauty in nature and I am more at peace with less around me, so I get where you are coming from... now my partner would figure out a way to have electric and the internet because that is his way lol

Boy oh boy, you just opened another can of worms. I have come across information that these new lightbulbs are also anything but good for us. Something about the frequency of the flicker rate and the spectrum of the light. For now I use the old ones as much as possible, they get harder to find though. Sometimes I get lucky and find them in the 99 cent store :)

You know what... I think you and my partner stumble upon the same stuff. He recently put a program on our computers that change the light coming from them for that reason. LOL... I knew we had a good reason to like you lol. We too use the old ones as much as we can! They are getting harder to find in our area.

Thank you, great article. It seems that Securus Technologies just messed with everyone. During researching this I have to admit I was thanking my partner the whole time. He is a stickler about turning our locations off and doing things to out cell phones that he use to say will protect us (like covering the camera lens) and I use to get annoyed at him, but now I understand what he has been doing. I read somewhere during this that they can sometime track you without the cell even begin on. Scary thought to me.

I'm not suprised that our phones are trackable. I'm more suprised that the government would allow something so sensitive to be in the hands of a private company all in the name of "profit"

BTW the GPS doesn't have to be on, the article doesn't mention GPS. Only cellphones.

It seems quora says its possible.
https://www.quora.com/Can-a-cellphone-be-tracked-when-its-turned-off

You know, it did not really surprise me that a profit was being made and nothing was done about that.

No GPS does not have to be on and to be honest even if you turn it off...it is not really off. Phones are nothing more than a tracking device.

As the world become more advance, things are getting more scarier.

That is very true. The more we hear of "things" becoming advance the more we find conspiracies theories that are true. If the Government can track us without an reason whenever they want who's to say what else they can or will do to us without our knowledge?

there would be no conspiracy "theories" if everyone was happy ... i consider the fact that the term exists and has become a living meme (not a funny picture with a quote) enough to take it seriously, because the underlying reason is a lot more important than 95% of all stories spun from it

as for the cellphone tracking, your government can certainly because they have actually access to all gps data because they ARE gps ... europe wanted to launch their own a few years ago , im not sure if they did or if the lobby bought them not to do it, there's stories about the notorious "killswitch" too, a bit like the commander-in-chief overthere has a button in the oval office, next to the putin-phone and the button to launch the nuke to kill all nukes, which basically cuts off the lowest infrastructure of the "world"wide web
and its actually possible that that's possible
triangulation isnt even that hard, they got mobile units to do that, it just takes your signal from the nearest masts and calculates your position by classic greek trigonometry, you dont have to make calls for that, your phone just has to be powered.

I personally don't keep a battery in my phone unless i need to call and i rarely take it outside (and i live in belgium and im not even black lol)
because its that easy really, the phone company already knows, big data is billions it would be very hard to resist that amount of money when you have the data and moreover i dont think they need much of a warrant here. Phone companies are required by default to keep all sms for two years. Basically anyone communicating by classic phonelines here is a moron, its not about having something to hide or not, its about the right to have people not peek into your living room, right ?

but the control freak advocates will always use the same argument "why do you care if you got nothing to hide"

well ... because sometimes i like running around naked

in my own house

;)

I have noticed that people are quick to label something that does not fall into MSM views as a conspiracy... Even when the person that is telling them about the situation has proof, so I would have to agree it is now a living meme.

I have been researching how they use gps and triangulate the cell phone location and was surprised to learn that they can do this even if you turn the location off on your phone and in some case the phone off itself.

I do not use my phone like most, but I do keep it on during the day. We turn our phones off at night and have eliminated wifi. For me it is not about having anything to hide so yes in my opinion you are 100% right... Its not about any of that, it is about them watching me whenever they feel like it. The picture is great by the way. I have always like The Thinker!
