Yes!!! This is great thinking. My husband is a physicist too... he is always endlessly curious which makes for an interesting life. How will we would be without it.
Wilfred Owen, the great ww1 post, wrote about soldiers who were desensitized to violence in his poem Insensibility. He speaks of men being happy if they didn't FEEL... yet, they have also lost curiousity ... an essential part of who we are... and compassion too... they lose their HUMANITY. Perhaps an essential part of who we are as feeling, thinking human beings is to be curious.

Ha... My father was a mathematician and I had studied physics... He was endlessly thinking and trying to figure out things... Not actually doing them, just figuring them out!
