Kids can be extremely good at problem solving when you leave them to their own devices. They have an unmarred curiosity, enthusiasm and creativity that can lead to some brilliant results. Your kids have the added benefit of not being brainwashed by the school system, which I'm sure gives them an added level of creativity.
