My wife and I (she gets all the credit) started homeschooling our kids 5 years ago. And we are so glad we did. My kids interact with public school kids regularly. They are often bemused by the cliquish, childish behavior of their public school peers. If anyone is lacking social skills it's the public school kids.
We need more people like you friend! You are part of a population that are starting a real and healthy revolution!

Last year we moved to an area where my crew interact daily with public school children. Immediately, we all realized how better socialized our crew is. This is factoring in that my crew has spent most of their lives chronically ill due to a rare disease. They apparently have not missed anything in public school ;)
