Activist, Libertarian candidate and Iraq war vet Adam Kokesh jailed unjustly! What happened and what you can do to help. #FinallyFreeAdam

Hello folks,
I'm writing today to ask anyone interested in freedom, liberty and fighting injustice in the police system to help send a clear message to corrupt police, corrupt courts and anyone else involved that as free sovereign beings we will not tolerate tyranny and we will come to the aid of the individuals they victimise.

What happened?

On the 16th of January 2018 libertarian activist, Iraq war veteran and The Libertarian Party's 'non-presidential' candidate for 2020 Adam Kokesh (pictured above) was driving through Texas on the way to the North American bitcoin conference in Miami.

Adam was pulled over on the premise that the officer was concerned that he had an expired registration, Adam explained that he had recently travelled from his home in Arizona, bought a recreational vehicle from Camping World Ohio, had it registered in Michigan and was on his way to the bitcoin conference, further explaining that he does have a live temporary registration and he is still awaiting the relevant insurance paperwork, this officer was pleasant and courteous and seeing that there was no evidence of a crime on Adam's part let him go free with a warning.

Less than an hour later however Adam was pulled over by police again, this time by a Trooper Garcia who seemed somewhat less accommodating claiming that he was speeding at 74MPH in a 65 MPH zone and was also taking issue with the status of his insurance.

After some conversation Trooper Garcia grew suspicious and within not too long backup had arrived in the form of officers Gomez and Wallmack, Trooper Garcia then proceeded to demand that Adam submit to a body search, after finding no weapons Garcia then asked for Adam's consent to submit to a search of his RV which was not forthcoming, it was at this point that the canine unit was called, after seeing the dog start around the door of Adam's RV Adam was arrested and taken to the Wise County Jail in Texas.

No dangerous items of any kind were found in No force one (Adam's RV).

What happened after his arrest and what were the injustices?

In a DTube video titled 'Update From Stacey on Adam Kokesh in Wise County Jail' Adam's girlfriend Stacey who lives in California gave an update on his situation.

48 hours after Adam's arrest there has been no paperwork, no charges, Adam has not been given a case number and he had not been allowed access to an attorney.

To add insult to injury a hearing was scheduled at 8:30am on the 18th of January but the police have refused to see Adam's team meaning that negotiating bail is uncertain.

As Adam has committed no (genuine) crime and it is possible that he has been jailed for his past activism and current political activity Adam has refused to pay the extortion money demanded by the Wise County police whatever the figure may be stating 'I refuse to negotiate with terrorists'.

The injustices continue as it has become evident that Adam's jailers are inhumanely refusing to accommodate his status as as a disabled Iraq war veteran with war related injuries, Adam only has one thread bare blanket which he has turned in to a poncho and has described the food provided to him as 'the worst jail food i have ever tried'

Adam's girlfriend Stacy reported that while Adam was 'miserable' being in jail he is in good spirits, recounting one quite bizarre incident where a police officer at the Wise County Jail was thanking Adam for making him famous through his 'Adam Vs The Man' YouTube channel.

This is a completely unacceptable way to treat a free sovereign individual who has committed no crime, who has war related injuries from his time as a sergeant in Iraq and is running for a presidential position in the 3rd largest party in the US (not that the lack of these things would alter the innate natural rights of an individual.).

It's time we showed tyrants such as these that we know our inherent rights and we will not stand for these abuses of power.
