Land of the Free, But No Boom Sticks for the Peasants

For any one who thinks they are free, in the sense of being able to carry out acts which don't harm others without some entity trying to stop you, I have a test for you.
Do you live in one of the communist states that doesn't "allow" the sale and possession of "the good fire works." You know, the mortars that shoot up in the air and explode into showering sparks of assorted colors. The ones that make you say, "oohhh.... aaahhhh."
I happen to live in such a state. Im located in such a way that if I drive fifteen minutes south I can buy wheelbarrows full of mortars, bottle rockets, m80's, m90's, roman candles, whistling kitty chasers, whisker doo's whisker dont's, and flying titty flippers.
If I was to get stopped at the border there would be up to $500 fine, possible jail time and definitely time spent in court. Plus whatever bullshit court costs and any other fees they decide to extort from me for carrying cardboard tubes filled with 75% potassium nitrate, 15% charcoal and 10% sulfur or sulfurless powder (ahem... cough cough wink wink) across an imaginary line.
Safety First
Also the misuse or mishandling of said fireworks could get one charged with a felony. So some bureaucrat somewhere thinks we should be protected from ourselves by restricting access to professionally made fireworks which will cause people like me to post the ingedients online and then fools who don't know what they are doing will blow their fingers off or worse. And in an effort to prevent people from using "illegal fireworks" most towns put on their own little firework show. Overseen buy local municipalities and paid for, of course, by local tax payers. Otherwise know as wage slaves.
So swallow the dogmatic propaganda of the State, go pay double for that fireworks show while shoveling funnel cake down your gullet.....
Or (allegedly) go to the nearest state with boom sticks and stock up!
