OUT ON A LEDGE - 56 FLOORS UP - WHY I TAKE RISKS
A risk is defined as "a situation involving exposure to danger". so am I saying that you should climb out a window of a highrise building? well not exactly! (however, given the chance maybe) what I am really saying when I talk about "risk" is taking the chance and not letting regret win!
I would hate for any of us to get to the end of our lives and look and with regret! Regret is mostly thought of as the things that we did that we really shouldn't have! and I'm sure we all have a few of those "no my finest moment" moments! this time, however, I'm talking about the things that we always wanted to do and never did!
This type of regret is far worse! According to Google, the average life span today is 78 years old! let's assume that we go to school then college. That gives us only 56 years left. Take 8 years off after 70 ( not sure how many windows i'll be climbing out after 70) that's 48 years. Throw kids and a career into that and life really isn't that long.
life is short!! when you get to the end of your life and look back you won't be wishing you spent more time at the office! you will be wishing that you did the things you had all ways dreamed of!
TAKE THE TRIP, SEE THE WORLD AND THE BEST IT HAS TO OFFER, LEARN TO SURF, TURN OFF THE TV AND PLAY CARDS WITH YOUR FRIENDS,
LAUGH, EAT CHEESE ANS DRINK WINE, SMILE, BE KIND AND LOVE OTHERS,
FORGIVE AND FORGET!
PURSUE YOUR PASSIONS, DONT BE SCARED TO DREAM REALLY REALLY BIG,
FALL IN LOVE, FIND THE FEW FRIENDS WHO TRULY LOVE YOU AND SPEND MORE TIME WITH THEM.
ENCOURAGE AND SPEAKE LIFE,
TRY NEW THINGS
DONT BE SO HARD ON YOURSELF OR YOUR LOVED ONES WHEN A MISTAKE IS MADE.
SAY SORRY, READ, DRINK MORE WATER
LIFE FOR THE MOMENT AND LIVE A SPECTACULAR LIFE
MOST OF ALL BE HAPPY
You only have a few short years on this planet! let's not take life too seriously. risks really are not even that scary on the other side of them! climb out that window and enjoy the view!
That is very brave and wise.
God Bless You!
Best regards,
alex
