I have literally grown my Twitter account from 300 followers to more than 1900 followers.

Here what I did to grow my profile from scratch:

Use 90:10 ratio for sharing the content - Out of 100% content I share, 90% is from other’s trending content and 10% is my original content.
Use proper hashtag - Never use more than 2 hashtags and that only if it is required else 1 hashtag is enough because more hashtag confuses twitter about the content.
Create Twitter Lists - The best way to make other influencers and user feel special is by including them in your exclusive list. Also, choose the best name for the list.
When you share other’s content then tag the author and source - It is best practice is you tag the source and the author of the content you share.
Include images - To express more, you can use an image, write all the details on the image and add a caption in the tweet.
Use visuals like GIFs and Videos - Visuals like images, GIFs and videos help you express more about your content and they also increase the engagement.
Participate in twitter chats - The gold of Twitter is Twitter chats. If you want to be an expert in your niche then participate in twitter chats and share your expertise. It is the best way to get your profile in front of industry experts.
Appreciate if you like someone else’s content - People love when they get appreciated. If you like someone else’s content then don’t forget to appreciate them by tagging them in your tweet.
Use hashtags to find the discussions and participate in them - One of the best ways to find out what is going on in your niche then use hashtags to find discussions and question people are asking. Help others in solving their problems and you can be their hero.
