Are you ready for the fall of modern agriculture?
It is unfortunate the agriculture minister of France does not follow my blog for he would be less surprised and better prepared if he did. Yes folks, anthropogenic global warming will not be sufficient to stop the effects of a Grand Solar Minimum which will plunge us into colder temperatures for potentially multiple generations.
I've been going on about this for almost three years now because most people (who don't use decentralised social media) still think I am mad. Which is fine. It's just that I genuinely care about humans and I am concerned as we move now into the Eddy Minimum that agriculture will be the first essential component of human life to go off-line and the majority of people are absolutely not prepared for the coming food shortages and the way in which this situation will be used to manipulate them into behaving like model citizens.
I write these kind of posts to build your understanding of what is happening and to push you in the direction of food independence so that you do not end up compromising your freedoms or bodily autonomy in exchange for something which only vaguely resembles food, provided by that same government who have over the last year proved themselves categorically to not have your best interests at heart.
Agricultural France no more
This is how vines are protected from frost in France. Bit of a joke really.
Early estimates state that up to 80 percent of French vineyards have been affected. Farmers growing fruit and field crops, such as rapeseed, apples and apricots, are also facing gross losses.

Knowing what to expect from the opening decade of a Grand Solar Minimum I felt comfortable with my current location in the agricultural foothills of the French Pyrenees where the strong winds keep the sky blue and the long hot Summers permit even for citrus fruit production, which one would normally expect further south in the harsher climate of Spain. Here there are farmers everywhere, keen to work the extensive & fertile land and yet today I am freezing my arse off in late April (which feels weird!) and many of our local fruit producers are going out of business due to repeatedly bad harvests & restrictions around covid.
France is known for producing the majority of its own food yet today French agriculture is on the brink of collapse. In part this has been created by the "totally unexpected" freezing temperatures each Spring but it has also been vastly aided by the limiting regulations around covid and a government who are forcing farmers to sell their products at low prices while adding costly taxes for the use of chemical pesticides & fertilisers, which most French farmers cannot survive without now. All by design folks. What this means is that the majority of farmers here will soon be out of business and there is nothing to replace them. Oh wait, except that clever idea to eradicate farmers altogether and make food production the job of a centralised entity. The Rockerfeller's Reset the Table initiative to "Transform the U.S. Food System" is now being implemented worldwide and family run farms will soon be a thing of the past. It doesn't matter which country you live in. Look carefully and you will see the signs of this gigantic operation to change the way we make our food forever.
Apples can be saved by freezing them before nightfall. The ice serves as an insulator and stops them falling any lower than zero. image source
Farmers protest
Very grateful to my mother for alerting me to the UK media covering this French weather story. This prompted me to investigate further and see quite how widespread the cold snap had been. It is evident looking at the media today that French farmers have been up in arms for many months over these issues I mentioned, dumping mud and other crap in front of agricultural buildings in many cities across the country.
What else can they do? It is the end for them.
Here is an English farmer in France covering this story (made 3 weeks ago):
While I do wish them all the best with their protests (there have been many over the last few years) I do not think it will make any difference & their energy would be better placed in learning about Grand Solar Minimums and ways in which they can protect their crops.
The stage is set now for the fifth industrial revolution and if you are not already growing your own food or making plans towards this goal I am not sure what to tell you. Please start! Any way you can. At the very least you can make contact with your local farmers and start stockpiling non GMO seeds, particularly the heirloom varieties which have the ability to adapt to our changing climate.
I do not know when food prices will explode but you can be sure it is coming soon and staged events such as the recent blockage of the Suez canal are all part of the psychological operation & centralised puppet show which would have you believe in global warming and the ever stricter policies of political leaders who care so deeply about their people.
This is the confirmed charted route of the Evergreen before it jammed itself tightly into the hole.

Like I said, it's a puppet show. And only once you are acting on your plans to become food independent will you will be able to sit back and enjoy it for the extremely entertainingly puppet show it is!
Right, off to pick some peas now. They are in my opinion the most tasty thing a farmer could hope to harvest at this time of year.
If you didn't like peas as a child it was likely because your parents were not growing them. Or worse, they were cooking them!
Fresh & uncooked always best ;)

Emotionally and mentally i am ready. I know its coming.
Unfortunately i do not have my greenhouse yet, so not physically ready.
Why is this not the news every night?
Why are we paying people to leave fields fallow right now? Hasn't the department of Agriculture gotten the news yet?
My biggest problem is, i can only grow so much. There will be far more people starving of which i can do nothing about.
What do you feel about Fava Beans?
Good to see you still going strong there. No doubt you will get your greenhouse in the end.
I understand what you are saying about only being able to grow so much. Feeling stuck on that front myself. Need more land and I need for it to be more hidden!
We can only do our best.
We are growing Fava beans and I feel great about them! Though I wouldn't eat them raw ;)
You can see them in the foreground of the last image.
Nice looking green peas! I don’t know you should eat them raw!!?
Things are getting crazy in my country too. I heard the Three Gorge Dam in China is leaking and moving. Lots of people will perish if an accident happened in the rainy season!
Nice looking garden you have there. Hope your could recruit some good people to be on your team!
Peas are one of those vegetables that you can eat raw.
And in many people's opinions, should eat raw.
Now beans are all over the place on what you can eat and how it has to be cooked.
Here we usually eat cooked peas, but sometimes we eat those long beans raw!
Green beans, i am 99% certain you are talking about, are very good raw.
I like them best boiled with potatoes. Add lots of butter.
Butter is imported! Very expensive!lol
I was a raw vegan for a few years and learned that most things can be eaten raw. And certainly peas are amongst the most yummy things to eat raw! Even the pea pod can be munched on before spitting out the chewy bit. I do this when I don't have water in the garden. They are very refreshing.
We will find our team eventually...
As for the dam, I have heard this story a lot over the last few years, so hopefully it remains just a story.
