They're controlling it by printing as much fiat money as they want and using it to buy BTC or any other crypto-asset. Allowing exchanges with fiat for any crypto dooms it.
But I totally agree with you, they fear a lot more the rubble, the yuan (remnibi) than any crypto-asset.
yes, you are right but to buy it, they need to find a seller. Furthermore if they hodl what is the problem? spaming the blockchain could be a costly way to win...
as you say to increase the crypto 2 irl is the way to go :).
