Tips for beginners in Fortnite: Battle Royale
With the popularity of the Battle Royale gamemode Fortnite on the rise, hundreds of people begin every day! Some have watch YouTube videos and know what's going on, others, well, they are hopeless!
So I decided to put together this post to share some tips to help you new players get better!
If you are stuck in a box, and the walls around you where built by you, you can enter edit mode and peek through the holes to see any advancing enemies.
Start liking wood. There are three building resources in the game. Wood, brick, and metal. They each take a certain amount of time to build, and will gain health during the building process. Once wood is placed down it can withstand one shotgun blast and not break, on the other hand, brick and metal can't.
Jump while your sprinting. When your sprinting you will want to start jumping, because this gives you the opportunity to look left and right, and also it makes it harder for snipers to hit you.
Gather resources. You always want to have a decent amount of resources because you may have to build cover.
Hop rocks make a lot of noise, and if you are trying to sneak up on an enemie, it won't work.
Use the right weapon. Close range weapons (pistols, shotguns and SMGs) are good for fight up close, medium range weapons (assault rifles) are good for distant fights, and long range weapons (snipers) are good for long range fights.
If you want to get better at the game, go to a heavily crowded area such as Pleasant Park or Tilted Towers. Because there are more people you will be forced to fight more.
Don't engage in battle if you see that the opponent is better than you. If you see them get shot at and they immediately build cover, stay away!
Always check for sky bases, they can rain fire at you, but with a few good shots you can be earning a bit more loot.
Get fast at building. If you want to get better go to a more less populated area, like Lucky Landing, or Flush Factory. Start by building a box with walls and a stairs in the middle, this is called a 1x1 base, and is the best way to gain the advantage on your enemie.
