RE: Football 5: RND 26 - Results + competition!
Game 4:
Manchester City 2-3 Crystal Palace
Crystal Palace pulled off a huge upset and delivered an early christmas present to eagles fans and Liverpool fans alike. Palace pulled out a huge unexpected away win, in an entertaining high scoring game in which the underdogs, Crystal Palace, upset the current league champions and title chasing Manchester City.
The game marked the end of an 8 month premier league home undefeated record for the sky blues, and leaves them trailing four points behind league leaders Liverpool.
City had an overwhelming amount of possession that they successfully used to create chances, but a failure to turn those chances into goals cost them dearly. Things started well with Gundogan giving them the lead at the 27 minute mark, but a quick brace of goals from the visiting Jeff schlupp and Andros Townsend left the the home team shell shocked. Luka Milivojevic, put the last nail in the coffin from the penalty spot in the 51st minute. A late consolation goal from Kevin de Bryun signalled a fight back, but it was to little to late. Final score Manchester City 2 Crystal Palace 3.
