EPL RESULTS.
There were five matches played in the English Premier League for today 26th of October, 2019 with the early kick off was the match between the defending champions of the league Manchester City versus Aston Villa at the Etihad Stadium right there in Manchester. As reported,there were 54,506 fans inside the stadium to support their teams, most of the fans were citizens fan considering the fact that they were playing at home. Judging by the points margin between the City and Liverpool, the citizens can not afford any further slip off at the top if they really want to catch the reds.
As expected, the match started with a lot of possession in favour of the Manchester City,unfortunately for them the possession did not yield any results as Aston Villa held their back line tight. However, it was not long before the Citizens opened the gate of goals through Raheem Sterling on the 46th minutes, it later became two goals on the 65 minutes through Kelvin De Bruyne before the match was sealed through the third goal by Gundogan on the 70th minutes to ease past the Villa. Manchester city midfielder Fernandinho was later sent off on the 87th minutes after he had earlier received a yellow card on the 57th minutes.
Other matches played on Saturday includes the goalless draw between Watford and AFC Bournemouth while the match between West Ham United and Sheffield United also ended 1-1. Sheffield United had 4 points in a space of five days in the premier league after defeating Arsenal 1-0 on Monday night
