Fulham replaces out-of-favor Slavisa Jokanovic with Claudio Ranieri
As expected, Slavisa Jokanovic was axed by Fulham board due the club’s horrendous Premier League run of 9 defeats, 2 draws and just one victory. Earlier was reported that Serbian specialist was given 2 games to save his job, including a clearly impossible away mission against Liverpool. He failed, unsurprisingly.
The Cottagers confirmed immediate replacement for Jokanovic as former Leicester legendary boss Claudio Ranieri stepped in as new Fulham manager. From now on Italian tactical genius inherited the general headache of rock-bottom Premier League side.
Ranieri has signed a ‘multi-year’ contract and expressed his delight to return to the English top-tier. Quality capture by Fulham, now they have an experienced coach who probably will reorganize the utterly bitter club’s defense that allowed no less than 31 goals in 12 games.
