France disappoints (but wins), Portugal disappoints (but wins)

I am starting to feel a bit fed up with the European Championship and the accomplishments of the different players. The first round in the group stage came with lots of goals and lots of fun, but then it stopped, and now France is in the quarter finals with a total of three goals scored, whereof two are accounted of as own-goals, and the third is a penalty goal. That is a tragedy!

Portugal won their penalty shootout against Slovenia, but at least it feels more fair than England robbing Slovakia 5 minutes into the added time in their 1/8-final.

The tragedy now is that the only two teams that have played well so far throughout the tournament, Germany and Spain, will play against one another in the quarter-final. That is a tragedy, because these teams would have deserved to be in the final.

Tonight we have a match between Romania and the Netherlands. I am curious, but I do hope the Netherlands will get back on track and win the match with impressive and attacking football like they did in their first two matches in the tournament.

The final match tonight at 21.00 is between Austria and Turkey. I must say that Austria has been fairly good so far in the tournament, so I cheer for them tonight, but who knows with Turkey?!
