Brazil legend and former striker, Ronaldo De Lima has acquired 51% of shares in Spanish outfit, Real Valladolid to become the highest shareholder.

The deal which was announced on Monday took less than a month to negotiate according to reports and is worth around €30 million

Although Ronaldo is now the highest shareholders, he has allowed club President, Carlos Suarez to continue in his position while he (Ronaldo) takes over as the President of the Board of Directors.

Since retiring from football in 2011, Ronaldo has taken active interest in other sports and owns teams, including motorsport group A1 Team Brazil and sports marketing firm 9INE.

He also owns shares in North American Soccer League club Fort Lauderdal Strikers and founded the Ronaldo Academy - a youth football school in the US and China.

During his playing days, Ronaldo scored six times in his six appearances against Valladolid.

The three times firmer World Player of the year featured for clubs across Europe which include Real Madrid, PSV, Barcelona, Inter and AC Milan, during his playing days.

He also scored 62 goals in 98 appearances for Brazil and won the World Cup twice in 1994 and 2002.
