Barcelona scored a historic 4–0 win over Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu on 26 October 2024. In the first half of the match, Real Madrid played an aggressive game, but failed to score any goals. Kylian Mbappe scored a goal in the first half, but it was ruled out for offside. At the end of the first half the scoreline was 0-0, but in the second half Barcelona came back into the game and took full control.
Robert Lewandowski scored the first goal in the 54th minute of the second half and doubled Barcelona's lead again with a header in the 56th minute. Lamin Yamal then scored the third goal in the 77th minute to become the youngest goalscorer in El Clasico history. At the last moment in the 84th minute, Rafinha's excellent shot made the final score 4-0.
The win was instrumental in Barcelona's hold on top of the league and Yamal's record-breaking goal put him in the history books. Barcelona are currently in a strong position in La Liga after this big win.
