Chelsea agree to sell Tommy Abraham to Atalanta / Everything depends on Lukaku leaving Inter
The London Blues plan to hand over one of their strikers to another team to prevent increased traffic on their attacking line.
Sky Sports Italia reporter Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Chelsea are planning to sell English striker Tommy Abraham as they approach Romulo Lukaku from Inter.
In fact, Chelsea's arrival at Lukaku, which is said to be very likely with the club's € 130 million offer to Inter, will start a Dominican cycle, with Inter reportedly using Devon Zapata from Atalanta to fill Lukaku's vacancy. Atalanta will take Zapata Abraham from Chelsea to fill the vacancy.
According to Romano; Chelsea have announced their readiness to sell Abraham to Atalanta and representatives of the two clubs will meet in the next few days. Atalanta have announced their readiness to pay € 40 million to sign the 23-year-old Chelsea striker, who has scored 30 goals in 82 appearances for the London Blues in all competitions. Chelsea, however, will have to wait for the outcome of their negotiations with Inter to buy Lukaku. Of course, even if Lukaku is transferred to Chelsea, it remains to be seen whether the Inter owners are willing to buy a new player for the team.
Lukaku is said to have announced his readiness to return to Chelsea, and if Chelsea pay the announced amount, the Belgian striker will return to Stamford Bridge. Chelsea's previous offers to Inter, most recently for € 100 million plus Marcos Alonso, failed to impress the Italian side, but the London club is expected to make a new offer by Sunday next week.
