When will the Alexis Sanchez transfer circus end?

in #football7 years ago

Alexis Sanchez has been in the news for the past half season for mostly off the pitch antics. Last transfer season he was all set to become a Manchester City player a deal that couldn't be completed due to the FFP regulations. His performance dipped afterward and it seemed like he didn't really enjoy being an Arsenal player. Even before the start of the winter transfer market, reports started coming in of him going to Manchester City and it seemed only a matter of time before he donned the sky blue jersey. This is when the Red counterparts jumped in with their offer. The transfer fee was reported from £34m to a ludicrous £140m by the Daily Mail. For the past few days, he has been in the constant news for football and off football reasons.

It has been reported that he offered a student £1,000 for sex despite having a girlfriend which doesn't really project the good guy image that he's been holding onto in English football. A few days ago he replied to an Instagram post of Troopz a very vocal and passionate Arsenal fan who features heavily on the Arsenal Fan TV.

Needles to say it confirmed his departure, but there was still no news of him being announced by Manchester United or by any other team. Yesterday a picture a picture of him taking a picture wearing the famous No 7 shirt appeared and the transfer seemed to be all done and dusted.

Still no announcement. Now that is most likely due to the Mkhitaryan going the other way and his medical at the Emirates, which is another complicated transfer saga going along with the Sanchez one. There are reports that no money will be exchanged in the Arsenal-United deal which to me seems like the right business by both parties. Sure Sanchez will be paid quite a large salary compared to Mkhitaryan, with Daily Mail reporting close to £600,000 a week (classic Daily Mail) making him the highest paid player in the English Premier League. I don't think he'll be paid that much. That is obscene about of money for a player.
With a future that looks like it belongs to the super agents I just want this transfer saga to end.

Manchester United, just announce the player already!

Hi there Narisa. Welcome to Steemit. It's a great place with awesome people, I'm sure you must've found some of them in the little time you've had here. I've read your first post and it's very well put together.
As for Manchester United, with Sanchez they'll do even better than the recent times.
Take care. Cheers!
