Football Prediction #10 (4/08/2021) - Friendly: Ajax v LEEDS UNITED
Big game today as we travel to Holland to give Ajax a battering!
Not a difficult prediction. Leeds will win easily!
Another chance tonight to get rid of any ring rustiness in what could turn into an epic clash between these two giants of European football.
Will our Captain 'calamity' Cooper be making an appearance tonight? We haven't seen him yet during pre-season with no word on whether he is injured or moving on?
It will be a second chance to get Junior Firpo settled into our playing style and hopefully make a few forays forward. He looked good against Real Betis with bags of potential and hopefully, before the new season kicks off will be up to Bielsa fitness levels.
There are worries about our fragile Spanish international defender, Kock after he limped of during the last game as did Strujik after a heavy challenge. There was no love lost in the Real Betis game!
The other interesting question will be the role of Rodrigo and whether he will be competing with Bamford for the no9 role or if he will stay at No10, we didn't sign another centre forward and I think Bamford needs some competition for the role.
There will no doubt be some jiggling with the formation during the game and will be fascinating to watch.
Whatever the team or formation, Leeds have this in the bag...
