Iran's referee Alireza Faghani has been named as the chief referee for the final sixteen matches between Argentina vs France on Saturday.
Alireza, his hometown, Reza Sokhanandan and Mohammad Mansuri will be assistant. Besides, Hulio Basakunan of Chile will also serve as the fourth referee.

Alireza operates Germany-Mexico and Serbia-Brazil matches in ongoing World Cup in Russia However, the referee has not seen the use of video assent referee (VAR) technology so far.

Meanwhile, since 2008, the FIFA referees have been listed, but in the World Cup the responsibility of managing the game from the first ground is Alireza. Earlier, he worked as the fourth referee in the Brazil-Croatia match in the inaugural 2014 Brazil World Cup.
