# January Tansfer Window Update: Shocking Transfers.
Hello steemians, I will be sharing with you Updates on recent transfers that has occurred in this January transfer window, of course a lot has happened in the world of football and I will be giving you a concise report of some of the transfer that has taken place and the ongoing transfer offers.
Olivier Giroud and Aubameyang
There has been rumors claiming that Oliver Giroud might be heading to Dortmund this January on a loan as part of a potential deal to take Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to Arsenal, but recent reports have it that Chelsea are out for the France international as they are desperate to have an alternative for Alvaro Morata.
After securing Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Arsene Wenger is not still satisfied with his attack he wants a replacement for Alexis Sanchez who is now a Manchester United player after prolonged negotiations.
Report has it that the deal between Arsenal and Dortmund on the move of Aubameyang is going through complications and may not work as Borussia Dortmund rejected a bid in excess of £50m from Arsenal for the striker Aubameyang, according to reports.
Manchester City have their eyes on a new centre back with Athletic Bilbao's Aymeric Laporte set to arrive imminently.
Chelsea are trying to secure a move to bring Edin Dzeko back to the Premier League.
The Blues have also agreed to sign Emerson Palmieri from Roma on a four-year deal, while Edin Dzeko could also join from the Serie A side. Elsewhere, Tottenham has successfully signed Lucas Moura from PSG.
So far, Barcelona have completed the signing of Philippe Coutinho for a whopping £146m after Liverpool made a huge, early move of their own with the £75m signing of Virgil van Dijk from Southampton.
