Actions returned to the English Football League cup EFL or Caraba Cup as it is popularly called. Two matches that could have been finals are slated for both Anfield and Stamford Bridge tonight. For the match schedule for Anfield is the match between Liverpool versus Arsenal at 8:30 local time before the encounter between Chelsea and Manchester United at Stamford Bridge, the match is slated for 9:00 pm local time.
In the past, these two matches would have been finals but unfortunately these four clubs must size up one another to claim the bragging right and progress to the next stage of the competition. As it stand now Liverpool and Arsenal will be meeting for the second time in the season, the last time Liverpool hosted Arsenal in the League the result went the way of Liverpool as the match ended 3-1 in favour of Liverpool in a match that shows the tactical weaknesses of Arsenal Manager Unai Emery. I just hope the manager will not be too conservative in the match today by playing less advanced players against a Liverpool team that are consistent in passing ball. Anything short of good outing today will further cast doubt on the quality of Arsenal Manager.
In the second match of the day, Chelsea will be all out for the revenge of the early match they played against Manchester United in which they lost by 4-0. The results is long forgotten as Chelsea have turned positive results in recent day to the administration of their fans. Chelsea manager will be wary of the wings play of the United especially with the return of Anthonia Martial. If the Chelsea manager got his tactics right then Manchester United will be in for a long night at the bridge.
