Arriving at Maltese
No, we're not discussing its dog breed, but did you know what are heading for in here?

Or Maltese bread, is the word meaning for bread in Maltese, it came from Arabic Language, well most of the Maltese language are influenced by Arabic language as by the Latinate one, Malta was known for a Self-governing client nation of the Empire, of course there's Roman, Rome left a plethora of excellent baking techniques and technology behind it, which is mostly why Malta's baking is so good.
The bread itself comes in variant shapes, Ftira also one of em, The thing that all the varieties seem to have in common is that they're all breads, it must been using a starter therefore or at least technically are sourdoughs, I thought they use yeast all this time? until today modern recipe do use commercial yeast. Of course there are some conflict where some bakers choose to not to use yeast, also some are bragging about using it andd something like that.

Just traveled to Malta, one thing that actually surprised me was the bakery choises in the stores :) Great for me as i love bread to breakfest :)
