Food Photography - Dried Apples, Banana and Cherry Tomatoes

This machine had long been in my wishlist and finally, I got it last year and I was amazed that it is easy to operate. Before buying, I asked steemians who are in homesteading about their own dehydrating and they all said that they never have negative experiences. My first experiment turned out good. The dehydrator has 5 trays and 250 Watt power and can be left for 4 hours until all fuits and veggies are dried.

The only tedious part is actually the preparation of the apples and the cherry tomatoes. The bananas were just cut in slices and soon I have them all in the trays. I only have to see to it that the places of the trays are interchanged to have a balanced drying of all pieces.

I removed all the tomato seeds so that the pieces will completely dried-off.

Since I am at the moment in Spain, I would have to wait a few weeks more to return to homebase for me to be able to use it again. The machine is a good investment just like the crockpot I got 2 years ago. Both are low in electrical consumption. That makes me feel happy because I can dry veggies and fruits I like and have them ready in glass containers as munchies or ingredients for my baking.

And so, I hope that for those of you who might want to dehydrate your fuits or veggies you can invest on this machine. It cost me as far as I can remember around 50 Euros or around 57 USD for the one with the 6 trays. There are even more trays available, depends on your needs.
