In these canapés, I simply gathered all what´s in the fridge, I boiled the eggs and added mayonnaise and minced onion seasoned with a bit salt and pepper. Then I had bacon strips that I fried and added these to the hams and sliced cheese. Veggies like bell peppers, tomatoes, lettuce strips, pickles were also prepared cut into strips as well as the liver spread for additional twist of the taste.
It was just me and hubbz celebrating the New Year´s Eve up on the mountain in pajamas. What I did was to make Chicken Macaroni Salad that has a sweet and sour taste. The pineapple chunks made the difference as well as the veggies added to it. We had this for lunch and the canepés were meant for dinner and the in between while waiting for the Big Bang.
This food have been improvised since it´s just the two of us and Lily, we didn´t attend the party of some friends we were invited to....instead, we enjoyed to be at home, drank red wine and munched the food in a relaxed atmosphere while watching marathon movies on Netflix and Amazon. The leftovers were saved in the fridge and were eaten at breakfast the following day. So it is all up to you how you make and design your fingerfood, give all the toppings you like best and most importantly, enjoy your creation!
