Promoting Steem Engagement: Food Photography Contest [ROUND 7] + (ANNOUNCEMENT OF ROUND 6 WINNERS)

Hello everyone and welcome to the another episode of our food photography contest aiming to promote engagement in the platform! Again, thank you for all your efforts in sharing with me your food photography! I haven't asked someone to be the guest judge for Round 6, so I had really a tough time choosing the winner.

If you want to participate and would want to be a guest judge for my food photography contest, feel free to contact me in discord or just leave me a message in the comment section below.

I received a total of 31 entries for Round 6. This is much better than the previous round (round 5), so thank you guys for all your efforts in joining my contest! And I love seeing people talking with each other now, I hope you guys continue making friends in the comment section below :)

Again, congratulations to all of us as nobody loses here, we all win in this contest! While most of you might not have won SBDs, the time you invested in engaging with other people, successfully making friends is much bigger reward especially in the long run.

My purpose in hosting this contest is to encourage you to socialize with other people. The most important thing in becoming successful in this platform starts with engaging with other people! I think I don't need to explain that to you.

Round 7

So for Round 7, I want you to share with me any of your "CHICKEN FOOD/RECIPE". It is better if you cooked it personally but won't require it anyway. This will give me an idea of what to cook next in my cooking series.

Again, our theme for this round is "ANY CHICKEN FOOD OR RECIPE". Again, I want you TO NOT just share us your food but also, TO COMMENT on other's food. Well, you don't necessarily need to comment on all the entries, just comment on the photos that you find very delightful or the foods that you really like!

Again 5 people will be declared winners at the end of the contest. Winners will receive 1 SBD each. It isn't too much so take this as an opportunity to really make friends. Think of your long term investment in the platform!

And for this round, I want to ask @bluesapphire06 again to be the guest judge. Please message me in discord or in the comment section below if you could judge this Round for us :)

The Rules of the Contest

First, you must upvote this post to increase the prizepool. I will not require you to resteem this but I would really encourage you to do so. This is to gather more people to interact with! Again all you have to do is to upvote, you don’t need to resteem!

Next, comment your photo below with a short description of your entry food and explain why you liked it. Just make it short, at least 2 to 3 sentences. This will act as your conversation starter.

You are only allowed to submit one entry. Again, I will pick 5 winners for 1 SBD each, this time after 1 week. AGAIN, prizes will increase depending on the success of the event. The prizes are really cheap but if you actively participate and engage with other people, you will build a strong network of followers.

The event will end on February 23, Friday at 1PM (Philippine Time). Winners will be announced 2 to 3 hours after.

The Winners of Round 5

I choosed the winners not only based on the quality of their photos but also on their captions (the 2 to 3 sentences description). That is why, it is important for you to describe or talk about your entry before submitting it, you will not win my contest if you would just submit a photo.

@adeline24's Pork BBQ

Pork BBQ of Chicken Deli. I was craving for BBQ when I came across Chicken Deli and decided, hey I want to try their pork BBQ. Taste wise its not that bad, It is tasty but my taste buds prefer the recipe of M.I 😊

@iamqueenlevita's Lechon Kawali

Had lunch with some of the Steemians days ago in one of known restaurants in the Phil. We ordered bulalo, pancit and this “lechon kawali”( deep fried pork). Super delicious when you dip it in special sauce on the side. Yummy for our tummy!

@vanj's Pork Sisig & Grilled Pork Belly

The most delicious food the place could offer for us as a Filipino. Sided with a hot soup. Of course, it won't be complete without rice and soft drinks.

@virgo27's Paikwat and Paco Salad

A simple recipe of thinly sliced pork belly, marinated on a special mixture for 1-2 hours, then deep fried. It is best partnered with paco salad, for your ultimate enjoyment. This pork specialty is one of kind being prepared by my auntie whenever I’m going home to the Philippines. It’s a MUST try! One of Pampanga’s bests!

@gingfriend20ph's Pork with Vegetables in Soup

This is my entry and I cook this personally for our dinner tonight. My son loves this very much especially the pork. This is healthy sinabaw na pork with vegetables (pork sari-sari).

As part chinese new year celebration, I decided to cook my own recipe of "PINOY STYLE ROASTED CHICKEN". It is easy to cook, first brine the chicken 6 hours with salt and sugar. Second marinate it with soy sauce, sugar, and vinegar for another 6 hours. Lastly put some stuffing in the chicken with lemon grass, ground pepper, garlic, and onion then cook the chicken in a turbo boiler for atleast 1 hour, half hour for the other side and the remaining hour for the next side... thats all...hope you like it.

Thank you for sharing :)

This one’s yummy, roasted or fried chicken still very tasty too, the tenderness of the chicken meat.

Couscous is a tradionnal food in Tunisia so tasty.here is link how too kook couscous http://www.marmiton.org/recettes/recette_couscous-royal_23684.aspx
Asian grilled chicken: In large resealable Ziploc bag, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, lime juice, orange juice, Thai chili sauce, garlic-chili sauce, garlic and curry powder; place the chicken in the bag, seal and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
Preheat barbecue on medium-low heat. Lightly oil the grill.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and pour it into a saucepan; bring to a boil and boil 2-3 minutes, to sterilize.
Cook the chicken on the hot rack until it is no longer pink at its center, about 20-25 minutes in total, turning frequently. Brush liberally with the marinade while cooking.

grilled chicken legs.jpg

Here's my entry for @asbonclz's Food Photography Contest [ROUND 7] - CHICKEN FOOD/RECIPE. Photo taken using Sony Digital Camera DSC-W370, I forgot the setting - no idea why the embers are purple. it's kind of cool though.

When my siblings and I get together, we usually bond by cooking for the family. This grilled chicken leg quarters are my favorite - the meat is as juicy and as savory as it gets. When food is cooked with love, it is definitely delicious -- I'm sure you all would agree :)

wow I love grilled chicken

The fire look purple o.O

Thank you for sharing your wonderful family bonding.
You're right, love is always the main ingredients! 😊😊
