Some friends of mine came over to my place for a quick apéro, so I opened a bottle of champagne called Fromentin-Leclapart Grand Cru Brut Millésime 2011. This was a rather special bottle as it was gifted to me by my friend who is in wine business, and whatever he recommends is always right and tastes fantastic regardless the price.

しばらくぶりの友人が自宅に遊びに来たので、シャンパンとおつまみを用意してテーブルをセットしました。今回のシャンパンはちょっと特別で、、ワイン選びのプロの友人がすすめてくれたFromentin-Leclapart Grand Cru Brut Millésime 2011 .. シャンパン地方の2大中心地 ÉpernayとReimsのちょうど間ぐらいに位置するとても小さな村Bouzyにあるメゾンの2011ヴィンテージです。

Afterwards we went out for a late lunch, whilst walking we were taking in the blue sky and the flower shops selling all different colours of tulips... It seems that the city is coming back to life - the trees have fresh green shoots and signs of life are returning all around. April is my favourite month of the year. I hope you are all enjoying it as much as I do!

家でアペロをしてから皆で遅めのランチに出掛けると、通りの並木の若い緑色の葉がわさわさと揺れていて、空が青くて、花屋には色とりどりのチューリップが大量に並んでいました。街の人も冬の間より少し優しくなるし..、ヨーロッパのベストシーズンが来た、と感じます。でも4月は日本が(桜が)少し恋しい気分になる月でもあるのです... 明日は実家に電話しよう!
