Poulet à la Vénitienne
This dish is a classic French recipe that combines chicken, mushrooms, and a creamy white wine sauce.

- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup white wine
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic

- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add chicken breasts and cook until lightly browned, about 5 minutes per side.
- Transfer chicken to a baking dish.
- In the same skillet, add mushrooms and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add white wine, heavy cream, garlic, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Pour sauce over chicken in the baking dish.
- Bake in preheated oven for 25 minutes, until chicken is cooked through.
