cheese roll cake
ingredients:
- 180 grams (1 box) cheddar cheese
- 1 piece of ready-made puff pastry, size 22x22cm
- 1 egg yolk
- 1/4 teaspoon of honey
step:
- Cut into slices of cheddar cheese. One box of 180 grams I divide into 15.
- Also cut pieces of puff pastry, divide to 15. I use a ruler & pizza roller for easy cutting.
- Take a piece of puff pastry leather, gently pull it up 2x from its original size, then wrap it around the cheese slices.
- Do it until the puff pastry & cheese strips run out.
- Set in baking sheet baking paper, give a little distance.
- Smear the surface with a mixture of egg yolks & honey, then sprinkle with grated cheddar cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven. I use an electric oven temperature of 200 ° C, fire down for 20-25min, then change to the top fire for 5menit until the surface is golden.
